My first day on the job-to take pictures for the upcoming yearbook! I bombed! I didn't move my feet, I didn't wait for the good light and I didn't take my time with the subject. ugh. In the team picture I did not have the choice to move the subject to avoid the sun because the team was posed for me and the spot pre-selected; however, I should have waited for the sun to hide behind a cloud. As far as the helmet, I should have noticed the reflection in the helmet. I also should have moved the helmet to place it more in the shade or more in the sun, avoiding the half and half place it occupied. Fire me, please! This blog will challenge me to see interesting people, places and items in a more artistic manner. Thank you to all visitors who appreciate the arts and the challenges of capturing images.

You're too hard on yourself. The group picture looks great. I love all those little boys looking all grim and tough. It's way better than I could have done. Light, schmight:)
Well, now that you've made those goofs, you won't make them again. Good learning experience. Both photos are fine, and they'll be great next time.
I LIKE the helmet picture (and I don't even like football!) I'm not a professional, but I think variations in the lighting are more interesting.
How does Trish manage to get so many comments?!
I think I need to start my own fan club or pay people to go to my blog. What do you think? :)
Oh Steve, you are too funny...your photos are great, as always! I never even noticed your so-called "errors" on the helmet image...I really liked it just the way it was!
