Go High, Low and at an Angle- Not sure it helped in this case

I've been happy with my recent posts; however, this one is not what I saw in the viewfinder. I saw something much more special but it did not translate. That is ok, though, because tomorrow is another day...and another picture...and then another...and another....and another, etc. Many, many more days to come!

Good experiment, Steve. I like the bottom photo better and would be interested to see it from an even lower angle.

Even though it's not what you saw, I really REALLY love the first image. It makes me want to write a story. In fact, it is almost exactly the view I picture for a book I have been writing for a couple of years now. Maybe today's picture wasn't supposed to be for you...maybe it's for me:)

I liked your experiment, too. It was a good reminder that angle of view is another tool that we should utilize when composing. I like how the path draws the viewer into and through the frame. Hmmm...I wonder what is at the end?
