Under My Feet
What to take a quick picture of on this busy day? Sunset? Nope, too cloudy. Raindrops? Nope, not enough rain. Still Life? Nope, I don't have the time to set it up nor the desire. I've passed this spot about a thousand times since it is on the corner of the pathway leading to my door. Pretty flowers! Ok, that will make an 'ok' fast photo. Wait! A bird's nest!! A nest perfectly located beneath the flowers! What a blessing!

My favorite part is the nest. It's so amazing how a bird would take something so insignificant to us like paper scraps and use them to provide a home and shelter for new life! Great fast photo, as you say!
what about the waterfall assignment? or are you exempt b/c of previous waterfalls?
very nice flower picture and nest...lovely
Good idea. We so often overlook the obvious because we see it all the time and it doesn't even register in our consciousness. Glad you "saw" it.
Beautiful flowers...and the bird's nest makes it a real keeper! Great job!!!
this is too funny...almost every single post i've been to today has featured flowers!! (I'm guilty, too) I love photographing Spring, it's just too easy to find a beautiful scene. These tulips are lovely, and such a random place for a nest! great find!
I relate to the find as a way we journey through life. Just when we don't expect it God has some little surprise for us. It's always something that I don't expect. This week my website (not blog) was kidnapped and now is owned by someone else (a misunderstanding w the hoster) and several other things happened that left me in doubt. But in the end I am sure there will be a bird's nest around the next blind corner. Thank you for sharing this picture it means something to me and it is my first visit here!
beautiful spring image!
great find.
That was such a Great find! One might find artist like Van Gogh would have painted such subject "the tulips, daffodil & a bird nest".
