Stormy Skies

In my travels today I came upon this beautiful church. I knew that the stormy, dark clouds would be dramatic in a black and white photo. This church is on a main road so I had to crop it fairly high to avoid the street. I think it came out pretty well. It's somewhat dark and gloomy but as we all know that is what our summer has been.

Really stunning. The bw is nice and rich, and the stormy sky definitely gives the image a lot of personality.

Really gorgeous, Steve!!! I've been meaning to ask you...how do you get such rich, deep tones for your b/w images? As always, you are to be commended for your effort and dedication to his daily challenge! :-)

that is an amazing picture & it does look like a european architecture. where about in america did you take that from? such an amazing church building! also sounds like, you too are having a wet summer. any more of these rain, there won't be much land left in uk. what a summer weather.
