A Warm Heart

At one time candles were used to illuminate homes in America. Now they are largely used for decorative purposes. This candle was given to me in the packaging above. I thought the lace covering added interested to the image. Below, the candle glows from within, allowing me to capture a romantic feel. I used my new lens on these images. So far I'm utilizing it as a portrait lens, choosing not to use the macro capabilities...I don't know why.

What's with all the love in my posts lately? The angel, the hand-heart, the candle-heart...As my niece would say "yuck".

Nice images. The candle does look nice in the packaging. Don't worry, you'll get around to using the lens as a macro. Now that you have it, you can do it "whenever the mood strikes" which is the best part of having the "right"equipment.

Yeah, I agree with Linda! Those macro opportunities will pop up soon enough. But right now, enjoy just flexing your creativity a bit, which you have clearly done in these photos! I love the first one the best, it's almost ethereal in nature. Maybe love keeps popping up as a theme because love is on the way!

Very pretty images, Steve! I like Jayme's explanation as to why all the "love" themes lately. But it IS February...the "love" month! :-)
