Another "Light Box" Creation
I had forgotten to experiment yesterday with this glass-plated piece of art. This morning, I placed the glass plate on the light box, allowing the light to shine through. It is a simple photograph but one which would not be as appealing without the light box. In fact this plate used to be one side of a lamp, which I had broken years ago. I really like the simplicity of the art work and decided to keep this plate through several moves and cleaning phases. I have often thought, "Why am I keeping this silly glass panel from a broken lamp? I'm glad I did. Which do you prefer? The color or black and white?

I personally like the black and white one becaues I feel that with lack of color, it gives the picture an edge and a personality. Keep up the great work. Love the photos.
Color, definitely! It really adds another dimension to the photo and it has an old time look and feel to it.
black and white
color.
it has older world charm.
Normally I prefer bw, but this time I love the color. Maybe the bw with a sepia tint would be cool.
DEFINITELY THE COLOR VERSION! This is really beautiful, Steve. I think you're on to something with your "Magic Machine"! Just think...you could bring together the science and art depts. for a whole new course. Students could find all sorts of commonplace items and transform them into works of art. Science could be intertwined with the teaching of art. It would be known as the [your last name] Method. Then you could take a leave of absence, and travel the world, teaching this method. Naturally, along the way you would be taking amazing photographs of your travels. Oh, I could go on and on...you get the picture! :-)
i am also available for that assignment:)
