Using Candle Light


I photographed this plate a few weeks ago, shining light through it using an overhead projector. Today, I placed a candle in the background to capture the image above. Below, I continued to practice with my filters to achieve the surreal image. The image below was lit using a flashlight, with the beam of light shining on the front of the plate. It created the slightly brighter 'green tree'.

I love the first image, too! Great idea to use a candle to light the image. I can almost feel the warmth of that glow! I like how you experimented, using 2 different light sources to achieve 2 drastically different results. NICE JOB PAINTING WITH LIGHT!

Very nice. By "plate" do you mean a dinner plate or a flat glass plate with the scene on it? What was the "plate" for?
