I photographed this plate a few weeks ago, shining light through it using an overhead projector. Today, I placed a candle in the background to capture the image above. Below, I continued to practice with my filters to achieve the surreal image. The image below was lit using a flashlight, with the beam of light shining on the front of the plate. It created the slightly brighter 'green tree'.

Hey grat job I love the first pic. The orange glow in the backround it amazing.
wow, you are seriously so creative to think of this stuff. I love it!! Nice job! I like the first one!
I love the first image, too! Great idea to use a candle to light the image. I can almost feel the warmth of that glow! I like how you experimented, using 2 different light sources to achieve 2 drastically different results. NICE JOB PAINTING WITH LIGHT!
They're both great pictures but I especially love the first one with its soft glow. You didn't run out of ideas! This is great:)
Such vibrant as a result & Very imaginative too. So cool. Congrats!
cool images.
startling results by changing the light.
i commend your creativity yet again:)
Very nice. By "plate" do you mean a dinner plate or a flat glass plate with the scene on it? What was the "plate" for?
