The Marshes of Utica, New York

Marshes in late March do not exactly scream beautiful so the location forced me to find something interesting and appealing. These reflections caught my eye, as the bare branches were seen in the still canal water.

I love reflections (as you well know!). The first connotes a feeling of peacefulness, while the second one is bolder and stronger. Love the symmetry of both. Great job, Steve...hope you enjoyed your day! :-)

The second love is my favorite.I keep looking at all these bare branches and thinking, soon they will be covered in lovely green leaves and buds. Love this reflection!

I love the reflection image. It would be interesting to see a repost of it with, yep you guessed it, a straightened "horizon" line. And another little suggestion--crop out the blue at the bottom of the image. Otherwise, I agree with the previous comments--the symmetry makes it very strong.Good placement of the trunks radiating out toward the corners of the frame.

I bet you had a great day.
