A terrific trip to Woodstock, NY!! The above photo is to prove that I was among the hippies! The photos below became a theme, unintentionally. With spring flowers and greenery still some time away, the many statues around town grabbed my attention.
In town there are many carvings, statues and small objects to worship. Actually, these treasures get lost in the summer crowds and lush foliage. It is easy to pass by them.
Nothing more to say. It was a great day with bright, warm sunshine and a gentle breeze. My drug of choice? Being outside!

Coming on these beings on a walk was probably refreshing change from angels and western style. What were some of the settings?

The triangular grey finely sculptured teacher ,with a hint of gold on the crown is striking.
I felt your "high" as I viewed your lovely photos! Wonderful statue images...interesting as well, since we are used to seeing angels. My favorite, though, is the colorful hippie photo! Tie-dyed t-shirts, vinyl record, and the word "peace"...all "signs" of the hippie era. Then the "Help Wanted" sign tacked in the middle...I expected to see in fine print the words "Hippies only need apply." :-) Glad you had such a great day!!!
