i love the close up of the bird in hand:)
I love the DOF on both of these and I don't mind in the least that the tail is cut off. You chose the more captivating shot...the hands cradling the bird itself. These are absolutely beautiful! I think I like the second one the best!
Great images, but I really love the second one--I seem to be pretty consistent about liking close-ups.
