AROUND TOWN--ASSIGNMENT- Doors and Windows..Next Week, Aged/Weathered

This house, which isn't actually that old, is in need of tender loving care. Perhaps it is too far gone to repair; however, at least the story behind the home's deterioration should be discovered.
I didn't do well last week with the Friday, Around Town, assignment so I'm hoping this attempt will make up for it. I like everything that is spooky and dark so this assignment was a pleasure. I tried to capture windows that were eerie and interesting at the same time.

Great pictures, I love them all. I did not get to the assignment this week as I had too much drama going on but will post next week for sure.

The light in all of the pictures is really amazing. Great window shots.

Eerie and interesting they are indeed. Complete with a creepy chandelier?! I like them all, but especially the dark interior and also the last one with the ragged curtain

I'm not sure why deterioration is so appealing, but I love it in your doors and windows! Looks to me as if you captured next week's assignment as well! I wondered about that chandelier...did you place it there? The shadows and the golden sun striking the side of the brick house caught my attention. Another great series!!!

I would so buy this house!
I am still amazed that there are deserted houses in your area, it really is unheard of here.

It was also a pleasure (a great pleasure) to visit your contribution this week. I think I especially loved the final photo. Dramatic and definitely eerie.

Another great photo op with great images to show it off. I like them all, but my favorites are the last two. I love the outside of the house--the angle is great, making it look very imposing and the light is beautiful. The shadows compliment the beautiful light.

The dof in the last one is just right, especially with the house in the distance. Without it I don't think the image would work as well. Nice job.

You definitely captures eerie and interesting at the same time in that first shot. I liked the one that made photo of the week, also.

Where is Protege from ? Denmark? That is near Amsterdam right ? so she must be just around the corner.. tell her that the house is brick..any brick house is worth rehab and I know some smart real estate guys over here that could help her outwith the financing
