Summer Sun

Photographers know the power of the summer sun.  Depending on its location in the sky, an image takes upon a very different look and presents a very different photographic challenge.  Above, the sunset casts shadows and adds "noise" (speckled appearance).  I added a little extra noise.  Below, the sun, around 11am, provides bright light, "blowing out" and image in many cases.

I can't believe you captured that huge sun in image #1 (didn't your mother ever tell you to NEVER look directly at the sun?!)...LOL.

Image #2 is beautiful! I love the BRIGHT colors in this PICTURE...it makes me feel HAPPY! :-) I also love how the rays of sun create a translucent quality to the flowers. Where is this scene?

Interesting comparison of the summer sun at different times of the day. Nice job!
