The Color Green

My mini-assignment for today was to choose a color and photograph it.

As my day unfolded, the color green found me. A visit to the grocery store was easy. On the way home, on Rt 5, there was more graffiti on the side of the road.

Finally, and ironically, I had a bunch of colored straws...all green!

A Gorgeous Day!

Above is a picture of a gentleman on the same bench as my photo a few days ago. He wasn't as exciting of a subject so I tilted the image to add interest. Below, the blue sky, puffy clouds and copper roof caught my attention. It was a beautiful day!

When I spent a week in my hospital room (sounds dramatic, doesn't it?) I passed some time with a book of manipulated scenes. I knew then that I would reconstruct such a game on my blog. Above is the original photo. Below is the manipulated one. I made nine changes to the image below. That's right, 9 changes!! Can you find them all???? I recommend my fellow photographers in the 365 day challenge to do a similar posting because it is yet another day's posting and it's fun!! 9 changes!!! What would I do on my first full day of freedom from the hospital stuff?? Visit a cemetery of course!

Hospital Stay

My adventure was to have tests in hopes of learning more about my epilepsy. I stayed in Albany Med from Monday thru Friday with limited success. Monday's photo, as posted, showed me waking early to head to the hospital. The photos in the collage were taken Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. My previous photo for today (Freedom) might make more sense to you considering I was confined to one room for a week. Seeing the man stretched out on the bench was the perfect symbol to how I was feeling today. With wires and a 24 hour camera surveillance of myself, I was unable to leave the hospital room. The views of Albany were from my window. My chess games, using my laptop, passed some time. My teddy bear, a soothing gift from visitors...and then ugly me, wrapped as if I had had a head injury (no comments). The rainbow was also fitting as I would have loved to have had the freedom to follow it to its end. I really like the photo of my photography magazine with the blinds showing on the pages. So, I'm back...and ready to continue this photo challenge!

Every Morning

Each morning I begin my day like most of us, heading to the bathroom to shower, brush teeth and begin the day. I used a radial blur to indicate my blurry eyes at this early hour as I try to wake myself up. Today, I'm up early because I'm heading out for a few days. I will be taking photos each day. I'm planning on returning Thursday and will make sure I update everyone on my adventures. Until then....take care.

If I Could Talk To The Animals...

My sister Sharon, niece Jamie and I headed to the Adirondack Animal Land for a nice afternoon of animal watching. I find it difficult to photograph through fences and gates and other people; however, these are a few that were passable.
