Sunset In The Mohawk Valley


Keeping that camera handy in my car, I quickly pulled over to the side of the road to snap this one. NO saturation at all. "Noise" because I tried lightening the bottom a bit to no avail. Because of the dark foreground, I cropped it an odd size. Making the photo brighter simply took away the drama from the sky. Maybe it was more beautiful with my eyes? or do you like this?

The clouds are on fire! It's a great shot. I think sometimes it's hard to capture a shot in the same way our minds "see" it, but I can't imagine it being any more beautiful.

Very nice. I haven't seen one of these wonderful sunsets in person for a long time.

This is one of those situation where a split neutral density filter would have come in handy. But you did a great job with what you had handy.
