Give or Take?

Great choice of DOF, which places emphasis on your subject. I love the conversion to b/w in this wonderful, thought-provoking image. Love the combined quote, too! Terrific post!!! :-)
Definitely one that evokes a certain mood. I like the B/W and the cracks at the fingertips. It really fits the quote. Sometimes giving too much of ourselves causes pieces to crack and break away (?) Is that what you are saying?
Know all about the lonely part ....."and yet there is a solitude which each and every one of us has always carried with him ,more inaccesible then the ice cold mountian;more profound then the midnight sea; the solitude of the self" ..well sort off of Steve's image, but the stone objects that you often depict seem to be in different stages of decay but are still coherent and sublime
