This blog will challenge me to see interesting people, places and items in a more artistic manner. Thank you to all visitors who appreciate the arts and the challenges of capturing images.
I'm not saying this photo is Life Magazine quality. I am reminded of some photos I've seen throughout the years in the magazine; those photos taken in black and white with an 'amateur' feel. Of course I am biased about how beautiful all my nieces are!...but they are :)
Above, another deal is made with a handshake. Each man trusts the other to maintain his part in upholding the business arrangement. Does this photo work for you? The "other" man appearing in the window.
Below, a photographer attempts to capture all the photo opportunities that exist in a city. He must remain diligent and "shoot" quickly!
My sister's favorite character in the Pooh series. My challenge, to make Eeyore look bright and yet try to create a slight "mood" which Eeyore possesses. For the "mood" I decided to use the soothing colors of blue and green to circle this character. I have to say, shooting these Pez dispensers has been a challenge, even more difficult than people! I'll share another, another time.
This farm is across the street from my house and the light often creates interesting shadows and drama due to the metal roof. It has been so windy at my house, and at the farm as well, that it feels as if hurricane strength winds have come to visit. I decided to photograph the farm and combine the image with the "stormy winds" that I was experiencing. The dramatic sky, which in its original form was a sunset, has become ominous with a little manipulation.
